Year 9 Students Excel in DofE Bronze Expedition
Forty Year 9 DofE students took up the difficult challenge of completing their Expedition Section of the Bronze Award. The DofE award is not given out easily, and out of all of them the expedition reflects the hard work students need to put in to achieve it.
They had to cover up to 18km a day, navigating through the countryside to reach several checkpoints, cook food and camp out overnight - all under their own initiative. It required teamwork and resilience.
Instructors commented this was one of the best groups they had been involved with, a huge compliment considering the great number of schools they work with.
