GCSE Students Tune In with Slough Philharmonic

Our GCSE Music students had an unforgettable experience observing a live rehearsal by the Slough Philharmonic Orchestra!

Seated in the middle of the orchestra, they got up close with the instruments, witnessing their size, grandeur, and unique playing techniques firsthand. This incredible opportunity was essential for their listening exam preparation, where orchestral music plays a huge role in the Concerto Through Time and Film Music topics (over half the exam!).

For many, it was their first time experiencing an orchestra live, and their reactions said it all:

Even the orchestra loved having them:
