Exploring London Through the Lens

The Photography department recently took our Year 10 students on an enriching trip to London to support their coursework. It was a full day of exploration, allowing us to capture the many iconic sights of the city.

We began our journey by taking the Elizabeth line to Liverpool Street, where we explored the towering, modern buildings of the financial district. Our next stop was The Garden at 120, a free rooftop viewing area offering breathtaking panoramic views of London—a perfect spot for the students to capture the city from above.

From there, we made our way toward the Tower of London and then to St Katherine’s Dock, a serene escape from the busy streets where we paused for lunch.

In the afternoon, we visited St Dunstan’s Hill, the site of a church originally built in 1100 but largely destroyed during the Blitz. What remains today are the hauntingly beautiful arches and steeple, now surrounded by a peaceful public garden.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the trip, snapping numerous photographs to enhance their coursework. They also appreciated the opportunity to learn more about London’s history and experience its diverse sights firsthand.
