Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

  • 8:00am to 4:00pm daily Monday to Thursday    8:00am to 3.30pm Friday (37 hours weekly)
  • Term time only plus INSET days/Twilights, however the salary will be paid at the full time rate. This is with the expectation that you will be available to work during all school holiday periods. In light of this you will be permitted to take 5 days leave during term time.
  • NJC Level 5 (starting point 13) Actual salary £27,913 to £33,116 per annum

As part of this role, you will have the privilege of working with a diverse range of professionals and collaborating with staff and external agencies across disciplines such as child protection, attendance, counselling services, and staff and student welfare. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting our dedicated staff and shaping a safe and nurturing environment for all.

As the DDSL, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and protection of our students. This is a fantastic chance to support the leadership of safeguarding and child protection across our entire school community. You will have the opportunity to put your strong background in safeguarding to great use, making a real difference to the lives of children and families.

We are particularly interested in applicants with experience working with children and families who may face behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your expertise in this area will enable you to make a significant impact on our school community, helping our students overcome obstacles and thrive in their educational journey.
